9. do you feel a commitment to the fans
10. how do you deal with them, spending all their money all on them
11. is your main purpose to just go play live and not care so much about the records
12. what do you listen to
13. do you listen to jazz or something like that
14. is there more freedom to play what you want today
So I thought she did a good job of asking Jerry and Bob questions. What stood out is how she gave them some good space to try and answer, because they are not the easiest people to interview. The reason behind that would be they don't always take interviewers all that serious, sort of the way the music can be silly and improvisational, they are the same way when people try to ask about what it is they do. I think that asking them about how they go on and play when they are fighting was a great question, because, as they never know what they are going to play or how, I thought that was a good question, to figure out how to improvise with people when your not getting along.

Asking them what they listen to I thought was also a very good question. I mean, as a fan, I always wonder what they are listening to and if that has to do with the way a show goes on any given day. Some of the questions were very generic, I thought, and I feel like their body language and answers showed that they also felt the same way. I have watched a lot of interviews with these guys, and I think they always have a that merry prankster kind of way of answering questions. A lot of underlying things going on there. and I think they kind of laugh their asses off once they are out of the interviews.

I think that this was a good interview for learning how to interview people because they might look jovial and fun, but they are not fans of being interviewed. So as they make a mild joke out of it, they did agree to do it, and that does mean they will answer some questions. I think if you do your homework and know something real about them, Jerry is more inclined to answer your questions where Bobby still just thinks that they don't need to be on Good Morning America. Either way, I feel like she asked some good questions and they did answer even if it was in a mocking sort of way. As the interview went on, they opened up a bit more and they were a bit kinder to her, but it took some time. So the lesson learned here would be you need to really know what you want to ask, and do your homework first, or your interview may not go as you see it in your head. So its good to practice and be ready for anything when you interview cause you never know what kind of head space the people you in interview will be in, and you need to be prepared for anything.
