All about Annotations

Today in class I learned how other people annotate their own readings. I use different symbols for different reasons . Other people that I sit near had similar ways of annotating their own readings or writings. The use of brackets and symbols such as stars, or questions marks and smiley faces seem to reign supreme as far as ways to do this. Underlining was also used to annotate with notes next to those to explain the underlining..

Introduction

For my first post, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Joshua Hantman
and I am from Southampton, Pa. I was born in Philadelphia, but I have not spent my
entire life here. I have lived in Colorado, California, Maryland, Illinois, New Jersey, and
a few summers I lived in Maine. I am an avid music fan and love to go and see live
music. I also play guitar even though I am no Eric Clapton. I love to cook, and I do
have a degree in Culinary Arts, but I am back in school now at Pennsylvania State
University earning a degree in Information Science and Technology. People always
ask me what my favorite thing to cook is, and even though I love many things, right
now my favorite is Cold Rice Noodle Salad with Peanut Sauce. I am a huge movie
buff, but I also love a good book. This summer I was in Maine for the season,
and took a trip up to see Stephen King's house, and a bunch of places that were
inspirations for some of his best work. We even got to see him walking his dog,
right around the corner from his house. Just as a side note, I am in my third year
of French at Penn State, and I really wish I could speak it, but it doesn't come
naturally to me at all. I figured I have a degree from a French Culinary
school, so I should speak French. Well that should give you a bit of info about me,
and feel free to ask any questions you may have, and maybe I will answer them.
For now, I will say au revoir.
